Bank/CHIF Home Improvement Loan Program
In partnership
with People's Bank, CHIF offers a home improvement loan program for low and
moderate-income homeowners throughout the state. Up to $10,000 are
available for a variety of improvements, including windows, doors and siding.
Under this program, there is no appraisal or loan-to-value requirement. For
this reason, CHIF is able to provide financing to credit worthy borrowers who
have little or no equity built up in their home.

| Multifamily Energy Loan
Program
Loans are available for multifamily property owners and common areas of
condominium complexes for a variety of energy-related improvements.
Qualified borrowers are eligible for loans with a maximum value of $2,000 per
unit, up to $60,000 per building. Interest rates are 3% and 6% and are
dependent upon tenants' incomes. The reduced interest rates are made
available through subsidies provided by: Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation,
Northeast Utilities, Southern Connecticut Gas Company, United Illuminating, and
Yankee Gas.

Single-Family Energy Conservation Loan Program Low interest
loans for up to $10,000 are available to owners (owner-occupants and investors)
of 1-4 family homes for eligible conservation improvements. Interest rates
(1%, 3%, and 6%) vary according to the borrower's family size and average adjusted gross
income from the past two years' federal tax filings.
The
application process is simple and CHIF's loan underwriters are available to guide
you every step of the way.
