Web Access for Borrower Accounts
Web access for borrower accounts is here! Borrowers can check their account information online by going to www.myCHIFaccount.org. Click here for frequently asked questions about logging into your account.

Acceptable Payment Methods
CHIF accepts payments by personal check or money order. Payments may be mailed or dropped off at CHIF. Borrowers may also arrange to have payments automatically deducted from their checking account. Click here for information about Automatic Payment Drafting. Acceptable forms of payment for accounts being paid in full are: a certified bank check, money order, attorney's check or check from another lender, i.e., credit union or mortgage company. Online payment will be available in the future.

Coupon Booklets
CHIF sends coupon books to the Borrower annually. A lost or misplaced coupon book can be replaced by calling (800) 992-3665 or write to CHIF at P.O. Box 59, Hartford, CT 06141-0059. A $10.00 fee will be charged for a replacement book, or you may print and fill out the temporary coupon form below.

Automatic Payment Drafting
Borrowers may authorize the automatic withdrawal of monthly payments from their checking account by completing the ACH (automatic checking) form. This is a safe, convenient, cost-saving option to use in making monthly payments. Call a customer service representative at (800) 992-3665, ext. 2016 to request a form.

Change of Address
Change of Address forms are located in the coupon book or you may write your change of address information on a plain piece of paper and enclose it with your payment.

Problems Making Payments
If you are having difficulty making your loan payments on time, we encourage you to talk with us. It's easier to work out the situation rather than letting it build up. Edward J. Poremba, Jr., CHIF's Loss Mitigation Specialist, will assist you when you are having difficulty making your loan payments.
