CHIF has provided the Connecticut Housing Finance
Authority (CHFA) with excellent loan servicing services since 1997. CHIF
consistently provides a high level of customer service and maintains accurate
and timely reporting to CHFA. When the City of New Britain needed assistance
in servicing its loans, we turned to CHIF. CHIF transferred the portfolio
within 60 days without any disruption to our borrowers. CHIF has remained
a partner with us in our lending efforts, and continues to provide the
highest level of customer service to our borrowers. CHIF insures Habitat for Humanity of Greater
Bridgeport that the borrowers escrow accounts are taken care of properly
for timely payments of real estate taxes and hazard insurance. CHIF staff
is so willing and able to service these unique, no-interest mortgages.
CHIF is able to work with the minimal staff at Habitat, and our low-income
homeowners to assist with repayment plans during unforeseen hardships
due to loss of income or other borrower crisis aff ecting the borrowers
ability to make timely payments. |
